TAKE A PAUSE FOR THE CAUSE CANCER.
Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives and 1 in 4 Canadians is expected to die of it.
Bridget Williams diagnosed in 2012 with stage 4 cancer and was coming home to die. She has been a survivor of 5 years. She felt it was necessary to be part of this great event and opportunity to give back. She has lost many friends, family, cousins, aunts, uncles, to this disease. You see cancer does not discriminate- it affects everyone of all ages, and ethnicities.
This is a great opportunity to support this amazing benefit for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Bridget is hopeful that one day that cancer will be eradicated and a cure for all stems of cancer through the continuum of research. I believe that one day cancer will be a thing of the past. Anyone who has defied the odds of cancer is a conqueror. This is a blessing and life lesson. You begin to look at things differently– well at least I did. I began to change my thinking and not take things for granted. You have to make every moment count in this life. I begin to look at things in a more positive light. Even the negatives can be contoured into a positive.
It was a new world and beginning for me to breathe the breath of life. Every day I wake up with a attitude of gratitude. I am looking forward to this audacious benefit for the Canadian Cancer Society.
